The Story Behind Tresor

Keep Your Mind Yours

Illustration representing the story behind Tresor

It started somewhere ordinary: a co-working space at night. Two laptops open. One of us typed a half-formed idea into an AI assistant, just to sharpen it, then stopped mid-sentence. That draft wasn’t “content.” It was the inside of a mind: hunches, doubts, the messy path to a better thought.

We realized how much of our private reasoning we had begun to share with AI assistants. If those tools can see inside our process, they can learn our preferences, map our blind spots, and nudge the next thought. The quiet space where ideas should be free suddenly felt observed. And when your thoughts feel observed, you think smaller.

So we drew a line:

Freedom of thought shouldn’t end at the edge of a textbox.

That moment became our direction. We set out to build a workspace where you can use powerful AI without exposing the contents of your mind, where privacy isn’t a promise but a proof you can keep.

And the same principle should apply at work. Teams deserve everyday AI that doesn’t force a trade: convenience vs. control. Tresor exists to flip that script, AI that serves people and institutions without taking their data, so ideas can grow without self-censorship.

Where We’re Headed

We’re building toward a world where thinking stays free, and the tools that help you think never take your thoughts. Here’s how that future comes into focus.

Vision

AI that serves people and institutions without taking their data.

Mission

We build a confidential AI workspace where teams work their knowledge, privately, verifiably, simply.

Founding Team

Different backgrounds, shared conviction: make powerful AI become safe, simple, and yours.
